SAFETY

• Always burn a candle on a heatproof plate, or in a heatproof container.
• Never leave a candle burning unattended.
• Keep lit candles out of the reach of small children and pets.
• Extinguish flame with a candle snuffer. This prevents wax from spraying.
• Center the wick after each burn.
• Do not allow trimmed wicks, matches or other objects to remain in the candle.

LONGEVITY

• Before each lighting trim the wick to 1/8". If you need to trim the wick while the candle is burning, extinguish the flame first.
• Store candles in a cool place. Cool wax burns longer.
• Do not burn in a draft.
• Do not use spiked holders. The candle will stop burning when its flame reaches the spike.
• Be aware that different kinds of wax naturally burn at different rates.
• Allow the candle to burn until the wax reaches the outer edge. With pillars this could take one to four hours.

CARE

• Keep candles polished by rubbing with a soft cloth or a fine mesh stocking.
• To prevent fading, keep candles out of direct sunlight.
• To remove wax from a container, pour hot water over the container, scrape out wax, and wash the container in hot soapy water.
